Our Commitment

CMAA is committed to providing a safe environment for participation and learning for all students and their families and friends, and to ensure a safe working environment for our Instructors and Leadership Team members.

What We Will Do

CMAA has very strict protocols surrounding alcohol and illicit drugs and these will be enforced at all times.

• CMAA is strictly an alcohol free zone—no alcohol is to be consumed on site.
• CMAA has a zero tolerance policy for illicit drug use—no drugs or drug paraphernalia is permitted on site.
• No person—student, family member or guest of a member will be granted access to CMAA if they appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
• Any staff member or Leadership Team member found to be under the influence will be unable to train or teach and will face disciplinary action.
• Where CMAA has organised a function outside of the Dojo, where alcohol consumption is permitted, we will monitor closely to ensure that our members act in a safe and responsible way for their safety and the safety of others.
• At no time shall persons under the age of 18 be permitted to consume alcohol in the presence of CMAA management and staff.

What We Ask You To Do

• Acknowledge and respect our policies surrounding the use of alcohol and drugs.
• Abide by all the rules surrounding the use of drugs and alcohol as detailed above.
• Do not supply alcohol to members at CMAA functions if they are under the age of 18 years old.
• Do not encourage others to drink excessively at CMAA run events outside of the Dojo even where alcohol consumption is permitted.

Non-compliance

• CMAA will take action for breaches of behaviour and responsibilities as outlined in this policy.
• Students will be asked to leave if they attend CMAA while under the influence.
• Minors who attend while under the influence will have their parents advised of the situation.
• Any member or staff found to have acted inappropriately whilst under the influence (e.g. sexual harassment, verbal abuse, physical assault, neglect of a child) may find themselves suspended from training, have their membership cancelled or may also face legal action if warranted.
